Questions & Answers

Q: What is this game Fluxx? Why is it so popular?

A: First published in 1997, Fluxx is a zany and unpredictable card game which isn't just different every time you play it -- it's different from one turn to the next. It's a game about change that changes as you play it, and everything in the game is changeable, from the way you win to the rules themselves. Yet it's also easy to learn and fun for all ages. People love it because they enjoy getting to change the rules, and since anyone can win at anytime, players always feel close to victory. When someone else wins, others usually say "But I was just about to win! Rematch!" and before you know it, they've been up playing until 3 in the morning. The original version has spawned a series of themed editions, including Zombie Fluxx, Monty Python Fluxx, Batman Fluxx, Math Fluxx, and Nauture Fluxx.

Q: Why did you publish a marijuana themed version of Fluxx?

A: We published Stoner Fluxx for two reasons. First, like any other product, to increase sales both for ourselves and for all our retail partners. It is a new version of a game that has been out of print for over four years, and it has been in extremely high demand. This new edition will be even more popular now that it is updated in full color with 16 new cards and great new packaging. The other reason we published Stoner Fluxx is to help accelerate the conversation in the US about ending marijuana prohibition. $1 from each deck sold is donated to organizations that actively support the end of marijuana prohibition.

Q: What is the relationship between Looney Labs and Fully Baked ideas?

A: Fully Baked Ideas is an imprint of Looney Labs - we decided to publish our adult oriented games under a separate imprint to make sure children weren't accidentally exposed to adult themes on our family games website. We are also keeping all of the consumer marketing for Fully Baked Ideas completely separate.

Q: Why can't I find Stoner Fluxx on the Looney Labs web site?

A: Looney Labs is a family game publisher. We decided to publish our adult oriented games under a separate imprint to make sure children weren’t accidentally exposed to adult themes on our family games website. That’s why Fully Baked Ideas has it’s own separate website, complete with information for consumers, retailers, and media.

Q: Why do you think marijuana should be legalized?

A: Here at Fully Baked Ideas, we’ve done our research and have formed our opinions based on published facts. Here is what we have discovered. Leading medical researchers have determined that Marijuana is less harmful to a person's health than alcohol or tobacco. Additionally, many states allow the use of marijuana to treat medical conditions that include: Crohn’s Disease, Anorexia, AIDS, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, and Glaucoma. Marijuana is not found to be a gateway drug or a drug that induces violent criminal acts. If legalized and taxed (the same as cigarettes and alcohol) local and federal governments could reduce their law enforcement expenses, overcrowding in jails, and collect billions in tax revenues.
